Who we are and how to contact us
Mike’s Quest Log operates mikesquestlog.com/ from the United States. For privacy questions or requests, email Mikesquestlog@gmail.com.
This policy covers the main WordPress website. The separate Print Quest game at play.mikesquestlog.com, including its cloud accounts and saves, is outside the scope of this policy.
Information collected when you visit
Our hosting and website services process technical information needed to deliver and protect the site, such as IP addresses, requested pages, browser and device information, timestamps, and error or security logs. The website is hosted by Hostinger and uses LiteSpeed caching to improve performance.
We use Google Analytics through Google Site Kit to understand visits, traffic sources, page views and interactions. Analytics can process cookie identifiers, device and browser information, approximate location and usage events. Google receives technical information when your browser contacts its services. See Google’s Privacy Policy and how Google uses information from partner sites.
The main website does not offer visitor accounts, comments, contact forms or newsletter subscriptions. If you email us, we receive your email address and any information you choose to include, and use it to respond and handle your request.
Cookies, browser storage and consent
We use cookies and similar browser storage for website functions, remembering privacy choices and measuring site use. Our Cookie Policy explains these categories and how to manage them. The site uses Complianz for consent management. Where consent controls are available, you can accept or reject optional categories and revisit your choices through the banner or consent settings control. You can also manage cookies directly in your browser.
Google Consent Mode can communicate your consent choices to Google. Depending on the configuration, limited cookieless measurements may still be sent when analytics storage is denied; rejecting cookies does not necessarily prevent every network request.
Videos, external content and links
Pages may include YouTube videos or externally hosted images. When this content loads, its provider can receive your IP address, browser information and the referring page, and may use cookies or similar technology. Signed-in users may have activity associated with their account by the provider. Following links to YouTube, Discord or other social platforms takes you to services governed by their own policies.
Affiliate links
Some product links are affiliate links, including links to Amazon and other retailers or affiliate networks. We may earn a commission if you make a qualifying purchase. Clicking these links can send you through an affiliate network and pass referral information to the destination. Those services may use cookies to attribute purchases under their own privacy policies. Purchases and payment details are handled by the retailer, not this website. Affiliate reporting may provide us with referral, conversion and commission information.
Why we use information
We use information to operate and secure the website, understand which content is useful, maintain affiliate relationships, answer messages and meet applicable legal obligations. Where GDPR or UK GDPR applies, the relevant bases include consent for optional tracking where required, legitimate interests in website operation, security and correspondence, and compliance with legal obligations. You may withdraw consent without affecting processing that occurred lawfully before withdrawal.
Who receives information and international processing
Information can be processed by our hosting provider, Google and other providers whose content you load or whose links you follow. We may also disclose information when legally required or necessary to protect rights and security. Services may process information in the United States and other countries. Where applicable law requires transfer safeguards, these may include approved contractual protections or an applicable adequacy framework; provider policies explain their arrangements.
Retention and security
Retention depends on the purpose and service. Technical logs follow hosting and security retention settings, Analytics information follows the configured Google Analytics retention settings, and correspondence is retained as needed to resolve inquiries, keep relevant business records or meet legal obligations. Browser storage may remain until it expires or you clear it. Cookie lifetimes and server-side data retention are different. No online system can guarantee absolute security.
Your privacy choices and rights
Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability of your personal information, object to certain processing, withdraw consent, or complain to a relevant data protection authority. Contact Mikesquestlog@gmail.com to make a request. We may need information proportionate to verifying your identity and locating the relevant records. Some requests may be subject to legal exceptions. For data controlled independently by an external platform or retailer, contact that provider.
Children and updates
The website is intended for a general audience and does not intentionally solicit personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact us. We may update this policy as the website or its services change; the date above identifies the latest revision.
